I had a decent stay, although I was a bit let down compared to my previous hotels in Asia. The location was amazing, just a short walk to the metro, but the cleanliness could really use improvement. My room was spacious and the big bed was definitely a plus, but some minor issues with maintenance took away from the experience.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and had a huge bed that could easily fit four people. It could use a facelift though since there were water stains on the ceiling and some wallpaper issues.
Service
7.0
The service was generally solid; they helped me arrange a cab. The staff struggled a bit with English, but they were eager to assist.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic! It was just a 2-minute walk to the metro and not far from major attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a mostly Chinese menu, which was fresh but didn't cater much to Western tastes. I found the cleanliness in the dining room lacking, which was disappointing.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered good facilities like 24-hour room service and helped me with tours. However, the internet situation was frustrating since it only worked via cable in the room.

5.4/10

I had a pleasant stay at Beijing Glive Qianmen Hotel. The location was fantastic, right near major attractions. However, the cleanliness of the carpets could use some attention, and communication with staff was sometimes challenging due to limited English proficiency. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend it! 😊

Rooms
7.0
The twin room I stayed in was spacious, modern, and had enormous, comfy beds. However, there were some water stains on the ceiling and the wallpaper was peeling a bit. Overall, it could use a facelift to match its amenities.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and did their best to assist me, even writing down destinations for taxi drivers when language was a barrier. I appreciate their effort, but the communication issues made some interactions a little tricky.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is superb! It's just a short walk from Tiananmen Square and the Qiamen shopping street, with convenient access to the metro right across the street.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast mostly catered to Chinese tastes, with some options for Westerners. Though the selection could have been better, I did notice some fresh sushi available. The dining experience was a bit hit or miss.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered several facilities such as dry cleaning and room service, though I didn't use them during my stay. It felt well-equipped overall.

5.2/10

My stay at the Beijing Glive Qianmen Hotel was quite disappointing, mainly due to poor service and cleanliness issues. However, the location was convenient, being close to the subway and popular attractions. Unfortunately, the language barrier made communication challenging and the amenities didn't live up to expectations, especially considering it was marketed as an international hotel.

Rooms
5.0
The room had nice lighting and was spacious, but I encountered issues with cleanliness. One room reeked of cigarette smoke and another was dusty, which triggered my allergies. The bathroom setup was odd as well, with a distracting shower curtain dividing the space.
Service
5.0
Service was a major letdown. Communication was tough due to the staff's limited English skills, and requests like taxi arrangements took far longer than they should have. Staff at the reception seemed overwhelmed and unhelpful more often than not.
Location
7.0
The location is one of the hotel’s strong points. It’s conveniently across from Zhushikou Metro Station and close to shopping areas and attractions like Tiananmen Square, which made getting around the city easier.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast had a variety of traditional Chinese options, but the lack of international choices was noticeable. Hygiene wasn’t great, with patrons sneezing over the food, which made the dining experience less than pleasant.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt outdated. While the hotel offered services like dry cleaning and 24-hour room service, the lack of basic amenities, such as sufficient toilet paper and functional plumbing, reinforced the feeling of neglect.

My stay at the Beijing Glive Qianmen Hotel was nice overall. the location is fantastic, just a short distance from key attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. However, the noise from the cleaning staff in the mornings was disruptive. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, featuring a great selection for a reasonable price.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean. I appreciated the well-equipped bathroom. However, another room I experienced had poor cleanliness and was smelly.
Service

The staff at the front desk were friendly enough. though it was tough to communicate due to their limited English skills.
Location

I loved the location. it was a quick bus ride to many attractions and close to restaurants and shops like KFC and Seven Eleven.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet was impressive, with healthy options. though Western food choices were limited. They had a nice spread of Chinese dishes.
Facilities
5.0
The gym was quite basic, featuring just a couple of treadmills and bikes. Other hotel facilities like dry cleaning were available.

My stay at the Beijing Glive Qianmen Hotel was a mixed bag. The location was superb, just a short walk to the metro and key attractions like Tiananmen Square. However, the Wi-Fi connection was quite poor and the breakfast options were limited, lacking typical American or European fare. Overall, it was good value for the price I paid! 😊

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed. The bathroom was also quite large, which I really appreciated. However, I did notice the maintenance could be better, as some areas looked a bit worn.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally helpful, with a few members speaking English, which made communication easier. There were times when I found it frustrating to navigate the language barrier, but someone was usually available to assist me.
Location
8.0
This hotel's location is fantastic! I loved being close to the new metro station and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, which made exploring the area really convenient. It’s perfect for visiting places like the Forbidden City.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was mainly focused on Chinese dishes, which was fine, but I was hoping for more variety. There were some fruits and bread, but not much in terms of Western breakfast options.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers a range of facilities, including dry cleaning and 24-hour room service. I didn’t use all the amenities, but they seemed decent and well-kept.
